Content Licensing Agency to pursue strategic content distribution deals

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27, 2024 -- Today Health Affairs, a journal at the forefront of health policy thought and research, announced it has selected content licensing agency MEI Global, LLC (MEIG) to explore and facilitate new distribution deals. MEIG will help Health Affairs establish third-party licensing partnerships to broaden the reach of Health Affairs' high-level, nonpartisan analysis and research on health policy, as well as how to improve global and domestic health care.

"We're proud that decision makers at the highest levels, including US Administration officials and members of Congress, ministry of health leaders worldwide, and the US Supreme Court, rely on Health Affairs to ensure they grasp the nuance and depth of the critically important health issues we are facing today," says Alan Weil, Health Affairs' Editor-In-Chief. "Our goal has always been to disseminate our highly respected research and analysis as widely as possible. With MEIG's guidance and decades-long leadership in the field of content licensing, we hope to find partners who can help us reach government and health industry leaders, health care advocates, researchers, and others concerned with health and health care issues around the globe, wherever they may be seeking health policy content."

MEIG was founded to help publishers identify, negotiate, and grow their third-party distribution partnerships to audiences beyond their own direct readership. Chris Broekhoff, MEIG's president, says, "Content licensing is in a constant state of evolution, as technologies and revenue models change. Staying up to date on the content needs of end users for distribution partners, across a range of markets, is challenging in the best of circumstances. To do so while staying in the vanguard of solutions for rapidly emerging global health challenges, like Project HOPE does, is even harder."

Says Broekhoff, "MEIG's dealmaker team is honored to have the opportunity help broaden the reach of Health Affairs' important, industry-leading content, by identifying strategic partners who can reach those most in need of this information. When it comes to global health care, there's no question that more high-quality, credible information in more hands is better for all of us."
